Pronouns
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.
Examples
Jacob ran three mile.
He
is now tired.
In this sentence he is the
pronoun
for the noun Jacob.
Antecedents
A antecedent is the word or phrase replaced by a pronoun.
Example
Jacob
ran three miles. He is now tired.
Jacob is the noun. He is a pronoun that refers to the
antecedent, Jacob

A personal pronoun represent people or things.
Personal pronouns consist of
